Acceptance

These Terms of Use apply to your use of the Balm macOS and iOS app and website. By installing or using Balm you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

Apple standard EULA

For copies of Balm distributed through the App Store, Balm uses Apple's standard End User License Agreement (EULA). You can review it at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.

What Balm is

Balm is a native client for Jira Cloud. It requires your own Atlassian account, and everything you do through Balm is subject to Atlassian's own terms - Balm doesn't change what your account is allowed to do, it only gives you a faster way to do it.

No affiliation

Balm is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or supported by Atlassian. Jira and the Atlassian marks are trademarks of Atlassian Pty Ltd.

Accounts and your content

You are responsible for keeping your Atlassian account secure and for the Jira issues, comments, attachments, projects, filters, notifications, and other content you access, create, or change through Balm. Do not upload, enter, or share content that you do not have the right to use.

Free and paid access

Balm may offer free and paid access depending on platform, distribution channel, or app version. Pricing, duration, and included features for any paid app purchase, subscription, or upgrade will be shown before purchase and confirmed by the applicable store or purchase sheet.

• Payment, renewal, cancellation, refunds, and purchase management are handled by the store or payment provider used for that purchase.
• If a subscription is offered, it renews automatically unless canceled before the end of the current period according to the provider's rules.
• Canceling a subscription stops future renewal; it does not remove access already paid for during the current period.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse Balm, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, reverse engineer protected service components, or use Balm to violate laws or the rights of others.

Third-party services

Balm uses third-party services including Atlassian for Jira Cloud authentication and Jira data, Apple services for App Store distribution and purchases where applicable, and GitHub for public support and issue tracking. Your use of those services may also be governed by their own terms and policies.

As is

Balm is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied - including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app, including loss of data in your Jira instance. Actions Balm performs (creating, editing, transitioning, commenting) are actions you take with your account; review them as you would in any Jira client.

Service changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features as the app evolves. We will not intentionally remove paid access during a paid subscription period except where required for security, legal, platform compliance, or third-party service reasons.

Changes to these terms

These terms may change as the app evolves; the current version is always posted here with its effective date. Continuing to use Balm after a change means you accept the new terms.
